The words of a candidate for Illinois Attorney General are coming back to haunt her… more than 15 years later.
A Chicago TV station reports that when Erika Harold was a contender for Miss Illinois in the year 2000, she told judges during a private interview session that she would place a child for foster care with an abusive heterosexual couple before she would place that child with a gay couple.
Several witnesses confirmed the account, but Harold’s campaign says she doesn’t recall saying any such thing… and says such a statement does not reflect Harold’s current beliefs.
