New Survey Finds Majority Of Illinois Voters in Favor of Legalizing and Taxing Recreational Marijuana

Another survey finds widespread support among Illinois voters for legalizing and taxing marijuana. That poll from the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute finds two-thirds of voters surveyed are in favor of allowing adults to use marijuana for recreational purposes… if pot is taxed and regulated just like alcohol.

32-percent were opposed… and only three-percent said they didn’t know or had no opinion.

Downstate voters support legalization, 58 to 40-percent. And while Democrats overwhelmingly support the idea, Republicans were evenly split.
