Wojcicki Jimenez and Flynn Curie Working on New Harassment Protocols

A top Democrat and a local Republican are working together on a series of proposals to make it easier for people in Illinois government and politics to file and pursue harassment complaints.

The series of recommendations from House Democratic leader Barbara Flynn Currie and Springfield GOP Representative Sara Wojcicki Jimenez include expanding the definition of “employee” under Illinois human rights laws to include campaign contractors and volunteers… and to require campaigns to develop harassment policies.

State leaders would also have to release periodic reports about harassment complaints and how they are handled.
