An Illinois resident has come down with Legionnaires Disease, and state officials are now trying to trace the possible locations where they were exposed to the illness, including several in Springfield.
State health officials are not releasing much information about the patient, including their current condition. But they say the individual visited Springfield in January, with stops at the Capitol Complex… where Legionella bacteria has been detected.
Officials are also examining the Springfield hotel where the person stayed, but the state is not identifying that specific location.
