More than a hundred people have come out for a candlelight vigil in honor of the victims of this month’s Florida school shooting.
While the event outside the Old State Capitol Sunday night was non-political in nature, two Springfield High School teachers spoke to the crowd about the frustration and fear they and their students face because of the threat of school violence.
Students read the names of each of the 17 victims in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on Valentine’s Day.
