A group of seven Republican state lawmakers is asking Gov. Bruce Rauner to stop misrepresenting the record of his primary opponent, state Rep. Jeanne Ives.
Rauner’s reelection campaign has been sending glossy mailers and running ads linking Ives to Speaker Michael Madigan.
Ives’ allies say any suggestion of a connection between Madigan and Ives is ludicrous. Some ads also say Ives opposed property tax relief. Ives’ campaign calls the political ads lies.
