There’s now a fourth confirmed new case of Legionnaires Disease at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.
It’s the latest in a renewed outbreak this month and a continuation of the problems that first surfaced there in 2015. This latest patient is reported to be in stable condition.
State health officials say they are still working with the CDC for comprehensive testing of water at the home, as well as increased scrutiny of residents to check for any sign of Legionnaires or other infectious diseases.
