The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for various points along the Illinois River.
Heavy rains are causing the river to rise rapidly… and forecasters say major flooding is anticipated along the river at Havana and Henry, where some roadways could be affected by flood waters.
Moderate flooding is expected over the next few days at Beardstown. There, the Illinois River is expected to hit flood stage of 14 feet on Thursday… and crest at 23 feet the following Wednesday.
