A planned Downstate television debate with the Democratic candidates for governor in early March has been canceled… but all six contenders are still set to take part in Wednesday night’s Springfield debate sponsored by the State Journal-Register and WMAY.
WCIA-TV says it has canceled its March 5th debate because Democratic frontrunner J.B. Pritzker declined to participate.
But Pritzker will be on hand for the Wednesday night forum on the campus of the University of Illinois Springfield. You’ll hear it live exclusively on WMAY starting Wednesday at 7pm.
