The flu remains widespread across Illinois… but there are some hopeful signs in the latest numbers from state health officials. Fewer than 100 people around the state had to be admitted to intensive care for flu symptoms last week.
That’s the lowest number since mid-December, when the outbreak first achieved “widespread” status. And there were no pediatric deaths reported from the flu last week, after two such deaths the week before.
