
State education officials say they will change the unpopular standardized testing system in place for 3rd through 8th graders.
The PARCC exam has been the target of complaints since it was introduced because of the many hours of instruction time it consumed, in addition to glitches in the online portion of the test.
The State Board of Education says it will work to modify the test to address those concerns. But some of those changes could take years to implement.
