The Democratic race for Illinois governor may be a lot closer than previously thought.
A new poll of 1200 likely Democratic voters finds J.B. Pritzker’s lead has shrunk to just over three percentage points over his next closest competitor, Daniel Biss. The margin of error is just under three percent.
The poll was taken this week, just after the news broke about controversial remarks by Pritzker captured in a wiretapped phone conversation with Rod Blagojevich a decade ago.
But the pollster is a one-time Republican strategist… and it’s unclear who commissioned the poll.
