New Controversy for Pritzker Stemming from Blagojevich Wiretap

There’s new controversy for J.B. Pritzker stemming from the wiretapped conversations he had with then-Governor Rod Blagojevich a decade ago.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Pritzker and Blagojevich were caught on tape talking about Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat… and Pritzker said Secretary of State Jesse White could be appointed to the slot.

On the call, Pritzker said White would be, quote, “the least offensive” African-American contender. Pritzker says he was trying to deal with the volatile Blagojevich in a way the former governor would understand… but says he was not at his best on the call.
