Drury Booted From Ballot, But Silverstein Stays On

One of the eight Democratic candidates for Illinois Attorney General has been tossed off the ballot.

A judge ruled that Scott Drury did not file the required statement of economic interest, making him ineligible. Drury plans to appeal.

Meanwhile, a hearing officer is letting embattled state Senator Ira Silverstein stay on the ballot, ruling that he had two more valid petition signatures than the bare minimum required. Silverstein… who was recently the target of a sexual harassment complaint… could face further court action over the challenge to his petitions.
