Even though he has called J.B. Pritzker the “poster child” for pay-to-play politics in Illinois, Democratic candidate for governor Chris Kennedy says he will support Pritzker if Pritzker wins the March primary.
But in an interview for the WMAY News Feed, Kennedy warned that Pritzker’s past dealings may turn off other Democrats, independents and moderate Republicans that Pritzker will need for victory in November.
Kennedy says the March primary will give voters a chance to tell both parties that money isn’t what matters most in elections.
