More Private Schools Able To Take Part In Scholarship Program

Governor Bruce Rauner says there is a deal to let more private schools take part in the scholarship program set up in last year’s school funding reform deal.

Those schools will be allowed to participate even if they haven’t fully completed the state’s “recognition” process.

A dispute over those schools led Rauner to issue an amendatory veto of a bill needed to implement the funding reform plan… and that bill is still in limbo.
