If you build it, they will come. That’s the view of the Belgian architect and designer who crafted the plans for the park that Mayor Jim Langfelder wants to put on the North Mansion Block downtown.
Peter Wirtz tells WMAY News that the unique design… including water attractions… will be viewed as an “oasis” by local residents and visitors alike.
He acknowledges that similar projects are more common in much larger cities… but sees no reason why it wouldn’t also be a big draw in downtown Springfield.
