Three boys have been injured… one seriously… in an ATV crash in Christian County, near Assumption.
One 13-year-old and two 12-year-olds were on the vehicle, traveling on a township road at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway, ran into a ditch and flipped over several times. All three boys were taken by ambulance to Taylorville Memorial Hospital and then one was airlifted to HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
The Christian County sheriff says citations are pending, including the unlawful operation of an ATV on a roadway and permitting unauthorized persons to drive.
