Federal agencies locally are saying very little about what will happen in the event of a government shutdown.
Officials at the Lincoln Home National Historic Site would not discuss specifics of the site’s operations if no spending agreement is reached, instead referring questions to the National Park Service in Washington.
It is likely that a shutdown would cause disruptions at the Lincoln Home site and other federal offices locally, but to what extent remains unclear.
