A Missouri man is dead after crashing his tractor-trailer on Interstate 72 near Jacksonville.
State police say the 61-year-old driver was eastbound on the interstate when he ran off the road, crossed the median and both westbound lanes, and continued on through a tree line and a fence before coming to rest in a field. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name has not been released. Police are investigating whether a medical issue may have led to the crash.
