Taylorville Memorial Hospital hopes to start work this summer on a new hospital building to replace its current structure. If state regulators approve, the hospital, which is part of Memorial Health System, would begin work on a new two-story, 97,000-square-foot building.
Most of the existing hospital, which was built in 1954, would eventually be torn down during the two-phase construction process for the new facility, which would partially open in 2020 and be fully complete in 2021.
