Democratic candidate for governor Chris Kennedy has walked out of a candidates’ forum after objecting to another contender’s ideas on combatting gun violence.
Republican Jeanne Ives told the gathering that the solution to gun violence was “fathers in the home.” Kennedy responded that he did not have a father in his home… because his father was shot to death.
Kennedy is the son of the late U.S. Senator and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1968.
