
Illinois’s lieutenant governor says she considered dropping off the ticket for 2018 after Governor Bruce Rauner signed legislation allowing some taxpayer-funded abortions in the state.
Evelyn Sanguinetti is pro-life, and says she is still upset about Rauner’s decision. But she tells the Chicago Tribune that after several days of praying and talking to her family, she decided to remain on the ticket with Rauner because, quote, “we have a lot of things we need to focus on.”
