Unemployment is down again in Springfield, giving the Capital City one of the best jobless rates in the state. November figures put Springfield at just four-percent unemployment… down from four-point-four percent one year earlier.
Three other metro areas were slightly lower than Springfield, tied at three-point-nine percent each.
The improved jobless rate came despite a slight decline in the number of total jobs locally, with 116,700 jobs in the Springfield area, 400 fewer than in November of 2016.
