Suspect Arrested In UIS Burglary

UIS Police have made an arrest in a recent burglary and vandalism spree on campus.

A statement from the school says Russell Horrighs was taken into custody for the theft of electronic equipment and damage to parts of Brookens Library and the Public Affairs Center on December 18th.

He’s charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, and criminal damage to state supported property. Horrighs is being held in the Sangamon County Jail.
