Funeral services are now set for Appellate Court Justice John Schmidt.
The former Sangamon County state’s attorney and circuit judge died unexpectedly this week at the age of 52.
Visitation for Schmidt will be held next Wednesday from 4 to 8pm at St. Agnes Church on North Amos. The funeral itself will be Thursday morning at 11 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home on South Sixth, with burial to follow at Old Salem Cemetery.
