10 of 27 Ethics Complaints to Warrant Further Investigation

Remember the 27 ethics complaints against members of the General Assembly that languished for months because there was no legislative inspector general? The person appointed to that position says after a preliminary review, 10 of those complaints warrant further investigation and possible action.

Rich Miller’s Capitol Fax reports the other cases could not be pursued because the target is no longer in the legislature, or the complainant did not want to pursue the matter, or the complaint was outside the inspector general’s jurisdiction.

That letter also says there have been additional recent complaints filed, and those are still under investigation.
