Illinois is still losing residents… and now it’s lost its top five ranking among the most populous states in the nation.
New census data says Illinois’s population dropped by nearly 34,000 people over the past year… the third-biggest decline in the country as a percentage of population.
That now pushes Illinois down to number 6 on the list of largest states, as the Land of Lincoln is now surpassed by Pennsylvania.
