Lawsuits are flying over the ongoing health problems at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.
At least eleven suits have been filed by family members of residents at the home, where more than a dozen people have died from Legionnaires’ Disease since 2015.
Some of the lawsuits claim that the state failed to notify families or the public about the outbreak, and did not properly test or treat residents with symptoms of the illness, even after the initial cases had been confirmed.
