Opponents Question Rauner’s Handling Of Legionnaire’s Outbreak

Governor Bruce Rauner’s political opponents, Democrat and Republican are taking him to task over the questions about how a Legionnaire’s Disease outbreak was handled at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.

A new report raises questions about how quickly the administration responded to the crisis and alerted both federal health officials and the families of residents there.

The governor’s office says everything possible has been done to correct problems there, but several new cases in recent months suggest the source of the bacterial contamination still has not been found.
