Another major union is throwing its support behind Democrat J.B. Pritzker in next year’s race for governor.
The Illinois Federation of Teachers says it is backing Pritzker because of his commitment both to education and to workers’ rights, as well as his support for moving Illinois to a progressive tax system.
The IFT says the endorsement came after extensive vetting of the candidates and getting input from union members.
