Rauner Tells Reporters He Is ”Not in Charge of the State”

A visibly frustrated Governor Bruce Rauner is telling reporters that he’s not in charge of the state.

Rauner made the comment while answering press questions about House Speaker Mike Madigan, whom Rauner says has continually blocked efforts at political and budgetary reform in Illinois.

Rauner says that even though he’s governor, the legislature has stalled his efforts, and says if he had truly been in charge, Illinois would be in much better shape… but he’s not and won’t be until Mike Madigan is gone.
