Among the candidates waiting until the last day to file for next year’s elections is a GOP primary opponent for Governor Bruce Rauner.
State Representative Jeanne Ives says she will stand up for taxpaying Illinois families… but claims that Rauner stands with the political ruling class.
Also filing for governor is Democrat Tio Hardiman, a community activist and co-founder of the anti-violence group Crossfire Illinois. He also ran unsuccessfully in 2014.
