One day after a bomb threat led to the evacuation of Springfield High School, some students are reporting a soft lockdown at the school… but District 186 officials say that’s not the case.
They say the retired trainer and dog that were recently hired to do periodic searches of city schools were at Springfield High for a routine check Wednesday… and as that check was happening, students were kept in classrooms.
A district spokesperson could not say if the check had been previously scheduled or if it was in response to Tuesday’s threat.
