Springfield Police Make Arrests In Murder, Residential Burglary Cases

Springfield Police have made two arrests in connection with an October murder.

After a lengthy investigation, officers have charged 19-year-old Andre Robinson and 20-year-old Tavelle Bates, both of Springfield, with home invasion and felony murder. Victim Steven Suber was found fatally wounded in the roadway outside a residence on Oakdale Drive on October 4th.

In a separate case, two men are in custody after police say they saw them fleeing the scene of a residential burglary. A witness called police and described the suspect vehicle. Police spotted the vehicle leaving the neighborhood and attempted to stop it. They say the driver tried to elude police and struck a tree, disabling the car.

One suspect was arrested in the vehicle, while the other was captured after a short foot chase. Anthony Perry and Lamalcolm Holder, both 23 and both of Springfield, are facing multiple charges.
