A Democratic hopeful in the 18th Congressional District plans to run next year… even though he is in the process of moving back to Illinois from Switzerland. Brian Deters is a Quincy native who has maintained a residence in Morton, even as he and his family have lived overseas because of his wife’s job.
Deters says that experience has shown him that we are a truly connected world, and that we need to overcome partisan divisions and work together. He’s one of at least two Democrats hoping to unseat Republican incumbent Darin LaHood next fall.
