An Effingham truck driver is dead after crashing his rig near Pana Wednesday. The Christian County Sheriff’s office says the call came in around 1:15pm Wednesday for the single-vehicle accident on Bear Creek Road.
The driver of the rig, 62-year-old Jerry Newburn, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is being conducted to determine if Newburn suffered a medical issue prior to the crash.
